Presentation of Henry Ford II and

Tour of Mike Skinner’s Collection and Library

After a two-year hiatus because of the pandemic, in October of 2021, BCD members appreciated the fact that we could finally meet again in person. We were most grateful to Mike Skinner and his wife for welcoming us into their home. First we met in Mike’s most interesting garage where Mike entertained us with an excellent and thorough presentation on Henry Ford II. It was very extensive with many interesting photos and cartoons of the time. Afterwards, we toured his amazing collection of all things related to Henry Ford I and the Ford family and corporation. Although a small group assembled, it was good to be together again.

BCD president, Charlene Kull, introduced Mike to the members assembled in his most interesting garage.

An amazing collection. A longtime member of BCD, Mike is past president of the Dearborn and Grosse Pointe Historical Societies and the Henry Ford Heritage Association of which he was the founding member in 1990. He has been a trustee of the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant since the facility became a non-profit museum in 2000.
